I’m a professional bassist, singer songwriter, composer, band leader, multi instrumentalist. Bassist of the Marshall Tucker Band ( 7-‘16 through 11-‘19 ) for the 50th Anniversary Tour, Juke Jammin’ Tour, Long Hard Ride Tour, and The Hell and Highwater and Back Tour. Bassist of the Artimus Pyle Band, featuring Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Lynyrd Skynyrd Drummer, for over 10 years. Rhythm section on at least 6 different recordings. Band leader with 5000 lb Tractor, Tony Black Jazz Trio, and Blackarts Ensemble. Solo as Anthony Edward Black and traditional standards as Water + Bones. I enjoyed playing with Buckethead, Dr. Know, Stalag 13 and especially Eyedentity which at times featured the legendary Airto Moriera, Flora Purim and Wah Wah Watson. I’m constantly seeking new challenges and am enjoying the creative process of writing, recording and performing in a variety of different ways.
